California prisons are struggling to stop cell phones from ending up behind bars, and they are turning to a familiar weapon known for sniffing out hidden drugs and explosives…trained dogs. Nearly effective as a cell phone detector which can locate the signal itself, these dogs are trained to locate phones even when they’re not sending a signal.
CAN DRUGS SMELL GUNS TOO IF THEY WERE HIDING IT?
They say they’re not going to say what exactly in cell phones causes them to smell, but by just announcing cell phones smell gives criminals the chance to test this out for themselves with a dog of their own and a cell phone broken into pieces. (There’s more than 1 dog out there with a nose you know). It’s only a matter of time before they figure it out.

Inmates go out of their ways to hide contraband and Officers go out of their way to find it
personally … if I went to prison ..the last thing I’d want would be a cellphone to bother me all the time….

I have no idea what they make in Cali but, here in Ohio guards make damn good money for our area.

well dogs rule.. but ..if they cant stop cellphones how are they going to stop small hand held pistols..you know like 2 shooters lol.
I was thinking the disposable recharge type phone, but if they’ve got fucking blackberry’s and iPhones than the real problem is apparently email not phones lol.

Phone goes for up to 3 grand in the system….guards make big bucks selling them.
I am always amazed at what a dog’s nose is capable of, so this story was especially interesting to me.
How about checking the guards when they get to work, and give them a cell in the general population on the spot.
Also let the only communications form be over the air tv (no cable) and collect only phone calls.

@xblackiris10x in prison you can watch tv and stuff so they can just use the outlet that they use for the tv and jail you wont be able to have cell phone because they dont have outlets in they cells
